Today is the last day for Alex’s list building comp.  At last I have some traffic trickling in. It is a great idea for concentrating the mind.  I tend to try to make everything perfect before I let anyone else see it but I’m learning to “just do it” and get it right later.  I’ve got google adwords tracking which is new to me and I love it.  My favourite bit is tracking where in the world my visitors are coming from.  It’s quite a buzz to think someone thousands of miles away in a country I’ve hardly heard of is reading my posts.

I’ve updated my profile on twitter and added a photo, I’m suprised at the followers I’ve got already. You can follow me at http://twitter.com/Andy_Lindsay

I wrote this on the 1st and published it today, that’s why there is a discrepancy in the dates.

    Hi Andy,

Hi, nearly missed you as an Alex Jeffreys buddy. From 1-3 Jan I went on a F500 world tour, turbo hopping between all the blogs I was aware of, but you had slipped under the radar.

Great to find you, and love the refreshing header and gentle green theme.

It’s not too late to vote for the New Year gift you would like, so do hop over to me at

I agree, Google Analytics showing the global origin of visitors is exciting.

Now, to the traffic, and lots of it.

    Hi Andy!

This is a great article! I am going to have to check out tracking google adwords. It sounds like it would be something that is great to use.

Oh yes, I started following you on Twitter. :-)

    See you in the webinars!

    Hi Andy,

Are you using Google Adwords already to drive traffic to your blog or PPP? Do you mean Google Analytics?

Although i have an Adwords account, i do not use it so much, so i am curious about what you mean here. I assume you mean Google Analytics though!

You and me think alike in the sense that i am a bit of a perfectionist as well. I would rather have the proper image set before moving onto the next tasks too which is a problem. Results come from the most actions.

    Tough to do indeed.

In any event, i am just making my rounds and checking out some other students blogs. Spying so to speak :)

    Cheers,
    Colin

Hi Andy, good to see you are getting back on track. This is my first visit to your site and I like the colour, very restful. I am afraid I join you in being a perfectionist and I have had to be very strict with myself and not get caught up in making every little thing exactly right before I let others see it. It really does go against the grain, but you can waste a lot of valuable time that way. There is always somebody out there who would give you an honest critique of your work so that you can make the necessary changes needed. I agree, it is exciting to see that people, perhaps on the other side of the world, read and enjoy [hopefully] your words. Perhaps you could give my site a visit if you have the time, and leave a comment, it would be much appreciated.

Hi Andy, my apologies but when I posted my comment above I neglected to change my url to http:// only.
I really would appreciate your visiting my site to see my latest post as it concerns a poll about Alex.
    Thanks in anticipation.
    Paull.
